Also bear in mind genuine UK / Euro stock comes with a 5 year warranty!

...by which time they will be work about 3p anyway. And these things are pretty difficult to break.

I'm not sure how helpful this comment is. A memory stick either works or it does not. If it does not, then my personal experience of ebay is that a reputable vendor will always send a replacement. Since these sticks are less than half the price of the Sony version, it's a bit difficult to see the "benefit" of Sony UK support.

And while we're on the subject, are we also talking of the same Sony that ship a software "upgrade" to version 2.0 with all current PSP's that would appear to do nothing other than REDUCE functionality?

And a Sony which puts software on its audio CDs which, when played in a Windows PC, downloads itself onto the machine, hides itself, and limits the number of copies of the CD which can be made. If you try to remove this software you end up with a broken computer which can't play CDs any more.

Who cares about the 5 year warranty?

You don't give a long warranty for no reason, it's cause these things don't break!

BUY from the importers, buy non sony products, Sandisk has been proven to be quicker than Sony discs ANYWAYS!

Warranty doesn't cover if I sit on it and crack it anyways, silly idea, bar the original poster for his company supporting ideas.

I still think waiting until a little bit into the new year will prove beneficial - I reckon prices will come down a fair bit for accessories.
