well here goes....i want to go into private renting accomodation, and have found a suitable place, they know i have defaults(and seem fine about that, said extra rent upfront or maybe a guarantor),but thats it at the moment no CCJs etc,the thing is when i start renting im going to go Bankrupt, have no choice(if youve read any of my previous threads youll know why),but what can happen then because obviously the Letting Agents and LL aint going to like this, can they evict me? where do i stand? will that sort of thing be included in the contract?
what a mess :-(

Hi Mickey, to be honest once you're in and paying rent they're unlikely to do anything. Some tenancy agreements to have a bankrputcy clause, which is usually worded that the LL 'may' terminate the tenancy if you go BR, others don't have a clause at all. I think they put the clause in to cover themselves if they have a troublesome tenant
I don't think there's anyone here yet who has been asked to leave because of BR.
At the end of the day all the LL is interested in is getting his rent and you not trashing the place.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
phew! thanks Peachyprice that was the answer i was looking for!.been S**ting my self! lol
its not a great situation, but its what i have to do:-(
also is there a limit on the amount of rent i can go for,the house is 4 bedroom an will be 975 a month, but that still about 900 cheaper than what im paying now with the mortgage and secured loan!0 -
Yeah it was the same for me i was already renting so i went to the letter agent and told them they said they had no clause anyway and it did not matter as they rented to a few BR's so they were not concerned about it and would talk to the LL who i have since found out is also a BR himself. I wondered why it was all in his wifes name..............:cheesy: K2nga :cheesy:

As long as the house is reasonable for your needs and about average for the area it will be fine. I wish I could rent a 4 bedroom for £975pm:DAccept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
