Does anyone please know how to make these biscuits?

Im sure I can remember the ingredients being
Oats, melted butter, sugar, flour, goldern syrup
You mix them and make them into balls then they spread out on the baking tray during cooking
I cannot remember what these are called or the recipe
I know they sound like twinks but im sure there not:confused:

They sound like something my Gran used to make called Danish Lace biscuits because they had holes in them and looked lacy -definitely the same ingredients and method. I don't have the recipe but I reckon if you follow a recipe for Anzac biscuits but leave out the coconut you will have something pretty damn close.

ooops maybe not... these have lard in them. I can remember rolling out the mixture when I was younger and was always surprised at the fact that they went in as small balls of stuff and came out the oven all flat!! (well, I was easily pleased :) )

    I'd say Anzacs definitely.
Make 'em small they do spread!

    Portions: 24 Biscuits
    Preparation: 10 minutes
    Cooking: 10-15 minutes
    Ingredients
    Anzac Biscuits
    200g rolled oats
    150g caster sugar
    150g plain flour
    2 tbsp golden syrup
    125g butter

    Method
Preheat an oven to 180°C. Melt the butter in a saucepan with the golden syrup.
Place the oats, sugar and flour into a bowl and mix in the melted golden syrup and butter until well combined.
Place tablespoon of the mixture onto a greased tray, leaving space between each one to allow them to spread out.
Place the biscuits in the centre shelf of the preheated oven and cook them for 10-15 minutes until light golden.
Remove the biscuits from the oven and allow them to cool for 5 minutes then place them on cooling rack.
Store the biscuits in an air tight container.

They aren't Anazcs - they have coconut in them ;)
