I want to return outside of 28 days..

I want to return some shoes that I've never worn, brought to wear to a wedding but due to spraining my ankle I cannot stand up in them - they've only ever been tried on twice and I still have the recepit....the wording on the back says full refund if within 28 days...... I've had them nearly 2 months tho....what do you think the chances of a refund are?

Thanks

I have returned items in the past beyond the 28 days but haven't used the receipt! I have just said that I'd lost it or that the item was an unwanted gift...saying that I have never actually asked for a refund and have been happy to accept an exchange or gift vouchers/refund card.

Hope this helps!! better than keeping an unwanted pair of shoes!

The problem doing this would be if the shoes are reduced in a current summer sale in which case they'd only give you the sale value and not the price you'd paid!

absolutely but before you take them back examine them really carefully to make sure there are no defects that you missed on first examination

...but either way it's out of the stated 28days return limit.

Just tell them the truth and you haven't worn them but not had the time to return them.

They will not necessarily be refunded after this time. It could be deemed that the OP had accepted them as a reasonable time has passed, and therefore that the retailer could choose to offer a refund, repair or replacement.
    Gone ... or have I?

I would have thought that shoes that fail inside two months with minimal wear are defective under SOG and must be refunded

You are still presuming there's something wrong with these shoes, when all the origional post says is that they are no longer required! ;)
