Removing a stain from dog sick

Mum's dog was sick twice on her new cream carpet and after washing there is still a stain there, any ideas for getting it out? Thanks.

you could try a biological washing powder on it, it helps dreak down the enzymes, aparently. I haven't tried this so you might want to test it out on an inconspicous spot. I saw them do it on one of Kim and Aggies programmes.

To be honest I've always used hot water and bleach! If you really wet the carpet to get the worst out and then blot and blot and blot .... (old towels good for this or loads of kitchen roll) eventually it does come clean although you might not think it has as until it's completely dry it will look like a stain is still there. Mind you, I'm talking of older carpets here - not sure if I'd risk the same treatment on a new one!!
