Cancel sky to get free channels

Is it possible for me to cancel sky and use the reciever box and dish to recieve free channels, I read some posts on the web but most are from 2005/2006 I wonder what the up to date answer is. It seems I can get channles other than 4 & 5 but it is not the exact same as freeview. I only pay £19 a month but only really watch BBC, ITV and news channlles and CBBies! Many Thanks for your replies.

We've cancelled our subscription and continue to receive the freesat channels.
