No problem. That link is quite good, also there are a few threads on here about it all, but its only worth doing if you have a lump sum to offer.

Have you tried looking on the snowball and see what difference using more of that spare £300 a month would do? It might help you to see how close you really are.
Also what about setting yourself a target like trying to pay of the water bill this month. This would then free up an extra £25 a month to go to another debt and prove that you were able to find an extra £150 out of that £300 'spare' .
What about joining the £10 a day challenge or something like that?

If you could up your payments from what you are paying now to say £300 a month you could be debt free in about 6 months.

the first key step is to find out where that 300 per month is really going... because if you actually had it you could clear the debts in less than a year.

the spedning diary people have mentioned is a good start.

do you really spend as little as 120 per year on clothes.. thats not a lot
or as little as 120 per year on birthdays and xmas
nothing spent on work lunches/ coffees/ magazines
nothing on dental / medical etc
    any haircuts / hobbies
no holidays of course but any odd weekends away

you're moving to a new property... what about furnishings, decoration, bits and bobs...

Thanks for all of the great advice, I am going to start a spending diary today to see where my money goes! I also forgot to mention I am a smoker so some of the money goes towards cigarettes (although hopefully not for much longer)

I will start my spending diary today and see how I get on.

Will keep you all posted! x
