thanks - its only £500 so I will ensure I pay this off however I can...not sure how just yet! and just close the account before the BR goes ahead. im glad someone mentioned the joint ac - I forget about it is just for bills but we stupidly got an overdraft on it to pay for a holiday, so just as much my debt as his.0

Ours was only £300, on my BR they cancelled the arranged overdraft and started charging at £30 a time, she gave authouraty for me to deal with it and i gave em hell, but they screwed it up for six months before i got it sorted, believe me its a fight you dont want if you can clear it somehow.
I did enjoy it though, my little bit of revenge:rotfl:
Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….0 -
Hi Jodie- I am married and the only affect me going BK has had on my hubby is the overdraft on the joint account- the bank closed the account and demanded full payment- if you can pay it off and close the account or remove one of you that would be the best answer.
Other than that it has all been posative stuffDon't get strung out by the way I look,
Don't judge a book by it's cover0 -
I am in a similar situation, I think my boyfriend is to going to go bankrupt, I own my own house and he struggled to pay his rent so now has moved in with me, i am concerned if they will look at equity in my property or savings i have, does anyone know if i will be effected?0

If he has only recently moved in and has not paid anything towards your mortgage or given you loads of cash, then you should be fine. His financial problems are nothing to do with you - just make sure you don't have any joint accounts.0 -
Out of interest, how did he get himself into this situation?0
