Sky plus Dilemma

Hi after much haggling , sky has offered me SkyPlus for free( I am a existing sky customer) installing on Tuesday . Trouble is that I might move in the next days -months . Now can I get them to install and then change my mind in a few days , if I do have to move home . I have a skyplus box from someone so, I was thinking of installing it myself . opinions will be grately received .I obviously dont want to be tied in a contract that I might not be able to satisfy.I was thinking of ringing and cancelling but wanted opinions before doing so.
Thanks

Sky usally let you move home under same contract. Just give them a call. There might be a install fee again.
    Kind Regards

You might not just be able to move it without a further installation - your Sky+ box will need two feeds from your dish.

But well done on getting it offered for free!!

Hi, If you move home and the house you move into doesn't have a sky+ set up already, then it will cost you £60 to get an engineer out to install (i.e set up two feeds).

If you get a sky+ box from someone then you'll need to get an independant engineer to fit (sky won't set up a box they didn't supply to you). Then you just phone them up, tell them you have a sky+ box you want added to your account.

Funny thing is ... this fell of the page and someone moaning about where it was placed has bumped it!

Sarcasm.......dont you just love it *lmao* :o)
  • Ring another department then say that you are moving home and are thinking to move to virgin media. I did this and they chuck deals in your face. But hold off for a while then they offer you a corker of a deal. :)

    Cheers...
