i dont know Jet, we got ours from Ikea a few years ago and it was about £9.99.
Hubby has done ALL of our ironing today (the iron has been on for 6 hours) only problem is its killed it, the house stinks of burning plastic because the heat from the plate has melted the plastic on the sides.
He now has to buy a new one lol, so if anyone out there can recommend an iron as well that would be fab.

not sure we can wait for freecycle - the mountain is piling up - it is so much fun ironing a school summer dress on a towel on the table
It may just be my freecycle, but each time i have offered something, or arranged for collection, it has usually fell through!!
i will have a look in tesco tom, and thanks all.
to the poster who mentioned ikea, they do have one for 6.99, but is out of stock at my store!!!!0 -
While you're ironing board less, give things a good shake as they come out of the machine, and then either hang them on hangers or smooth creases out as you hang them. (Or tumble dry if you're not being too green!)
Then don't screw everything up in the basket: keep things folded or hung. Before you iron, look at it and think "By the time my DD's worn this for 10 minutes, will it look any worse than this?"
Honestly, you'll find there's a lot of stuff doesn't need ironing!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
