Bought a mp3 player from tesco, a technika one. Headphones were rubbish so replaced them and I dont know where they are anymore. Now the MP3 isnt working, and when I took it back to tesco (within the warranty period) they said that they would be unable to refund as the headphones are not there. I had asked for a replacement but seeing as they stopped doing the model that was not an option. Basically they are saying as i do not have the earphones there is nothing they will do. Is that correct? Surely they have to repair the mp3? I did say that to them, but htey said a repair is not always possible, in which case they would do nothing. Are they right? Any help would be appreciated.

As the headphones were an intrinsic part of the product I suppose they are probably within their rights.0

So they have no duty what so ever to repair the mp3?0

Maybe you could get hold of a pair, from eBay or somehwere else really cheap0

So without the earphones, can I demand a repair?0
