Could I make a bag like an Onya bag?

I've seen these Onya bags (Google Onya) and would like to try and make something similar to attach to my handbag so I don't need carrier bags. The local scout group has thrown out some old tents and I've been given some of the tent material (think it's ripstop nylon?) and thought I might have a go. Problem is finding a pattern. I've googled but found nothing. What I want is a bag that folds into it's own sewn-on pocket or has it's own pouch for storage IYKWIM.
Any ideas?

Not sure if this will be of use to u but here we go. In one of my mum's mags there was a lady that gave a tip about carrying carrier bags in her bag. She simply put them into an oid umbrella(pocket/small)cover, that way she could have carrier bags all the time and not have her bag heaving.
Sorry I know that wasn't what u asked for but just a thought. :A kal25:smileyhea:heart: Mrs Lea Nov 5th '11:smileyhea

That's so coolI like the little mesh bags the washing powder tablets come in - I have several of those that get used for keeping track of things.
