How many did you have at your hen do?

There were 7 of us at mine - I organised at the last minute as well and two couldn't make it (although one only told me that 2 hours after she had told me she was due to arrive having accepted!) We just went out for a meal since we don't all get together that often.
Other than drinks, which we took turns on, I paid for myself, gabyjane - I guess it depends on your friends though!0 -
Sounds cool girls!! may be a silly question but does the hen pay for herself? i am planning on doing so but we havent really got that far!
Well there aren't any laws of the land of course! Personally I wouldn't expect my girlfriends to pay for me as I know many are struggling at the moment. but if your friends do offer then take them up on it!It all works out good in the end.If it's not good, it's not the end!0 -
I was invited to a hen-party at Centre Parcs, but avoided it like the plague, it turned out to be a hen do for the mother and MIL, not surprising knowing the bride!
Centre Parcs is NOT cheap, it is family and child orientated, and they actually won't let you book hen parties. They will tolerate "single sex" parties if you say it is a birthday! The restauranst are also not that great, and expensive and you have no choice! So unless you want to organise catering and wine yourself (the mother did for the one I didn't go to, but she is like that - carting food 200 miles!) you will get more choice and better value on your local high street!
As a place for a hen do, unless you are all happy to spend alot more on getting spa treatments, or are into horse riding or mountain biking I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.
The other ideas of a private room in a restaurant or bar sound good, then it can be how you want it.Give yourself a Chistmas bonus £14 a week!
Total so far £280 -
Hi,
We have just been to centre parcs for a spa day, it was lovely!
We went to aqua sana (spelling?) we got a deal off their website take a friend for free.
I booked over the phone so it was £47.50 each instead of 95) we got 3 free drinks throughout the day plus lunch and dessert. The place was lovely very chilled!
We were allowed in from 9-9 and then could stay around center parcs if we wanted to til 12pm
There were 12 of us and we had a very nice day. I also had an 'at home' evening and just had drinks and food etc. Have a lovely time
P.S. No idea what the girls have planned for my hen do... I've a feeling it's going to involve camping and fairy tutus tho... don't ask!!0 -

I had mine at CP & had a fab time. There were 16 of us in 2 villas. Kept costs down by eating in one night & taking booze. Went in the pools & cycled & only paid extra for a few things (including the spa which was well worth it). Have all been to a friend's at CP which was great too.
Remember, what's important is getting the girls who matter to you together. If money was no object I would have like to go abroad but as my close friends have kids, they couldn't afford either the time or money.
Whatever you do will be great if you have the people that matter there!0 -
I went to Brighton for the weekend with five friends and it was great.
I also had a surprise shower thrown for me by the people who couldn;t go, and there were about 12 at that.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Hi ladies well *update*!!
It's been a nightmare and i wish id'e never suggested anything tbh! My friend suggested a pamper weekend, £100 ish which everyone was fine with had about 15 people at first, i had a few round sat night to sort dates times money etc and it all went out of the window, 2 of then decided to change it to something i didn't want and then they all !!!!!!ed off down the pub leaving me and my sister with dd.
i was really upset and decided i wasn't going to bother!
The next day me and my sister looked at themeparks after trawling loads of other things and have booked a deal to Thorpe park with 4 star hotel included for £60 each!! really excited and have decided stuff the rest of them!! 2 are supposed to be coming too but can't sort babysitters and expect me to foot the bill which iv'e said no as if they can't come im left with a bill..
grrr it's true when they say you know who your friends are! saying that they do all have goodish excuses..0
