Green way to clean laminate flooring?

I'm wondering if there is an eco friendly way of cleaning laminate flooring? Mine is looking abit shoddy at the moment after loadsa building works ect. It really needs a good clean. Any tips?

I use vinegar, tesco's finest 14pence, on vinyl tiles, comes up a treat.

Neat, doesn't show, devil, just a slight smell that goes after a few minutes. Brown, doesn't matter white is more expensive. There are posts on another board about vinegar as cleaner.
I put it on with a sponge/scourer, leave it for a while, wipe off with a cloth. Could ,I suppose, mix it with something to make a gloss finish.

Beware of gloss finishes on laminate flooring! Can be slippy!
Signature removed for peace of mind
  • Experiment in a hidden patch first though.

I have a spray bottle filled with water and essential oils (5 of lavender and 5 of lemon if you're interested). I just spray onto our laminate and either use an eMop or get down on my hands and knees and use a microfibre cloth. They look fabulous after many years in a high traffic area.

    Sounds good. Thanks :)
