Terms and conditions:
1. Due to possible complications in the visa application process, this prize draw is open to UK passport holders only aged 18 years or over who are resident in the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland, except employees of Telegraph Media Group Limited, Virgin Atlantic, Kirker Travel and Havana Club, their families, agents or anyone else professionally associated with the draw.
2. While the cost of visas is included in the prize, it is the responsibility of the prize winner to ensure they and their guest have valid UK passports and travel insurance, and obtain the necessary visas for their trip. Neither the Promoter nor its partners in this promotion can accept any responsibility should the winner’s and/or their guest’s visa applications fail and in such an event, no alternative prize will be offered.
3. Details of how to enter form part of the terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
4. Entries must be submitted via https://www.telegraph.co.uk/promotions and entry is restricted to one per person. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. The winner will be drawn at random from all entries received by the closing date. The winner’s name and county can be obtained by sending an SAE to Havana Holiday Winner, Telegraph Promotions Department, 111 Buckingham Palace Road, London SW1W 0DT between August 11 and September 10, 2008.
5. All entries must be received by midnight on Saturday, August 9, 2008.
6. The winner will be notified within seven days of the closing date of the prize draw.
7. The prize as described is available on the date of publication.
8. One entrant shall win a three-night break in Havana, Cuba. The prize includes accommodation in the Hotel Saratoga in a double room on a bed-and-breakfast basis; return economy class flights with Virgin Atlantic from London Gatwick; transfers between the airport and the hotel; an afternoon’s rum tasting at Havana Club’s Museum of Rum; drinks at the El Floridita and La Bodegita del Medio; and a bottle of Havana Club Cuban Barrel Proof.
The prize does not include travel insurance, food and drink, personal expenditure or incidental costs other than those mentioned.
It is the responsibility of the prizewinner to ensure they have travel insurance and obtain any necessary vaccinations for their trip.
9. All elements of the prize are subject to availability, non transferable and there are no cash alternatives. The prize must be taken and all travel completed within one year of the date of the winner being notified. Travel is not valid between November 1, 2008 and April 15, 2009, inclusive, and excludes all UK bank holidays and Cuban national holidays. Flights are subject to Virgin Atlantic terms and conditions which can be found at https://www.virginaatlantic.com/telegraph.
10. The winner may be required to participate in publicity.
11. Events may occur that render the prize draw itself or the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
12. The Telegraph is responsible for the first part of the promotion, which is the publication and adjudication of the prize draw. Virgin Atlantic is responsible for providing the flights only. All other facilities connected with the provision of the prize are the responsibility of Kirker Holidays Ltd and Havana Club.
