sun lotion

hi all. we are going on holiday soon. could anyone help us choose a suitable suntan lotion as our skin is brown (we are indian, but have lighter skin). what factor should be use as the temp out there is around 37 degrees - thanks.

    I have no idea..but any pharmacist will be more than happy to help, don't just ask the counter staff as they may not know, just say you wish to speak to someone knowledgable.
    We have asked in boots before and they were very helpful, as OH is half turkish half croatian and tans easily, so u.k guidelines don't really apply to him.

    I think factor 8 should do it. My fellow Italians with olive skin find it adequate (alas I am fair and need a much higher factor).

    On the whole, I think starlite's advice is sound.

    Wouldn't know what to suggest for someone purple! :D

    Seriously though just remember the basics about topping up regularly and when out of the pool.
