Hi, long-time lurker / first-time poster!
Looking to get my hair cut without emptying my bank account or looking like a disaster. I live in Newington and work in the west end, so anywhere in/near the city centre would be great (yep, I know, cheap *anything* in the centre of Edinburgh is asking a lot!).

It's not the City Centre, but there are a couple of hairdressers out the Colinton Mains way that are reasonable - Harlequin on Colinton Mains Drive and Broadway Style on Oxgangs Broadway (off the main road, but I've been going here for the last 7 years + and won't see past the place)0

Vallance hairdressers on the Dalry Road near Haymarket station.
You can get 2 colours foil highlights with cut and blow dry for £49 and a cut and blow dry for around £18.
It's where I go and I rate them highly.0
