It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Well today, I went to the bank in Dumbarton and on the way back to the car mi son (20 months) suggested that we go for a walk by the river; so we did. Anyway, a little further down there was a couple of underage (17 probably) youths drinnking beer. And what does son decided to do? Start playing on a concrete block near them. Of course Im trying to encourage the little fella away from this spot but to no avail. Anyway the lads start talking to me commenting on my football's team top that I was wearing. They tell me that so long as Im not a Rangers fan then I'm safe!! They was quite drunk so at this stage Im making small talk, entertaining them. Anyway, the little fella starts jumping off the concrete block and cheering when he lands on his feet. Anyway at this stage whilst not scared for my life im thinking that perhaps we should really move on just in case like but they notice the little fellas antics and they start cheering as he jumps off the concrete block. Anyway this goes on for some 2 minutes or so and the little fella is really enjoying it. Anyway they decided that they have to go to the offy to get some more buckfast and they give mi lad a £1 each for being a good lad and say goodbye. As they are walking away, mi lad is shouting 'Bye' 'Bye' and they are shouting it back and waving. I thought it was all quite sureal. I thought I was entering a precarious situation where they would probably at the very least ask me for some money and possibly kick off cause I think they was well pished like and not from the most celubrious of backgrounds, to mi lad diffusing the whole situation turning them both into doting dads lol

awwww that's a sweet story... and the moral is. Don't judge a book by it's cover eh?

So which shirt were you wearing? Toon army? Or not?
