cheers hun, it was back in August when my nan died and I was being all self pitying. But we don't need to dwell on that cos it is wht the thread is for. hurrah for this thread it keeps me sane (in a weird sort of not very sane way)

id really like to do that act poor and have helped out before but juss fell bit like a con artist that im not qualified an im supposed to educate these babes

My mum wasn't qualified either (there are training courses now for it I think) but as she was teaching kids to read and she had done that with both of us she got on with it really well. She did a bit of english as a second language, a bit of kids who couldn't read yet and a bit of kids with behavioural problems, she did it for 13 years and adored it.

Have you got GCSE English and Maths?? If so I wouldn't have thought that it would be a problem, if not then that could be what you do at college with a goal of doing this at the end.

Don't think of yourself as a con artist, right I am off to do some research for you.
