I'm facinated, is this just for people awake in the middle of the night to keep them awake, or to discus serious money saving issues? Because i'm currently working night shifts and love this idea!

Hi Michelle and welcome.
As jack said it's for everyone who's up at night/early morning to get together. It's suprising how many folks are up worrying and needing to talk, I guess you can say we are a kind of support network and everyone is welcome to come and join in, offload, have a laugh and we do discuss finances/give advice in the wee hours (if our brains are fully functioning

well...I've managed to make it through the night without any sleep ...bah !! however, I did manage to get the ironing done (between 0345 and 0530 !!!!)...well, there was a week's worth and I thought I'm not wasting the time
