A cheaper alternative to Canasten oral

Had to nip to boots to buy some which set me back £10 , they didn't have a cheaper alternative.
As I know I will need it again i took a look on the internet only to find it for 99p!!!!!! even with the £2.75 postage that is a massive saving, they also have the cream for £3.99. I was allowed to buy 3.
Obviously this won't help anyone who needs it in a hurry, but if you know you will need it in the future then I would try here.

Thanks for that! If you ask at the pharmacy for Fluconazole capsules - ie the non-branded make - you can get them for about £4, cheaper than Canesten if you need it in a hurry but not as good as your deal.0

I'm a Pharmacist, and the prices of proprietary (branded) products are pretty much fixed by the manufacturer. My advice if you want the best deal and the best service is to ALWAYS ask to speak to the Pharmacist personally and ALWAYS ask if there is a cheaper generic available. The advice is really important, as you should always check that the medication is appropriate for you (in the case of repeated thrush attacks for instance diabetes may be an underlying disease). Fluconozole also interacts with several other medications (including some blood pressure drugs, water tablets and some oestrogen containing contraceptives to name just a few) so you should always discuss this with a Pharmacist. If the Pharmacist is too busy to talk to you (never an excuse in my opinion) then have no hesitation in walking out and going somewhere else.0

i ordered these 8th dispatch email and tracking number the 9th and they arrived today and they do ask some basic medical questions and they asked why i was ordering 3 packets (their max on this)they also take your phone number. Also looked at use by date and its just over a year away.
They also had some hayfever tablets for 39p!0 -
Used this company several times over the last couple of months and the prices and service is fantastic! Anyone who pays ridiculous prices for brand name medication when there is a generic alternative available for peanuts are just chucking money away IMO.Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
I have used chemistdirect before for generic fluconazole at the bargain price of 99p vs. Boots best price for generic of around £10 (although I think more local chemists probably have much better deals than Boots on the generic product). But I agree, this does not replace advice from your GP or local pharmacist, & you should only use when you know exactly what you are buying & that it is the right product for you.0
