Collateral

My sister has an upstaires flat. She has received 3 or 4 letters for her flat and the one downstaires addressed to 86 & 88 ******* Road to go to court and for different loans etc. It seems like the woman that owns the downstaires flat has been putting my sisters flat along with her own as collateral. The latest being a loan for £25k over 300 months and about setting up a DD.

My sister is now going to have to see a solicitor, which she really cant afford.

Does anyone know how this woman is getting away with it? Surely she would have to give proof that she owns both addresses?

Im really annoyed about it, shes a single parent after a messy break up and just about can afford to keep her flat for the sake of her kids and doesnt need this hassle.

(I have also posted this in loans, but think maybe that wasnt the best place).

They can't do zip. The loan is for downstairs. If the loan company didn't check that's their problem. I would simply return the letters adding the correct address :)
