    Same here. She did buy it and said it didn't work. Too fiddly or something.

    You can get a hands-free magnifying glass: it's on a cord and you sort of project it from your chest ...

    That's the cheaper option than a lamp with a magnifying glass attached. Although not as cheap as finding a not quite so myopic friend ...

    Ted, another suggestion for you from my DH: apparently you can get towels with little pockets in, or the MSE way would be to sew a little pouch on. Even if you can't see your glasses without them on, you can presumably see your towel, so if you don't tread or sit on any part of it without first establishing where the glasses were, that would help too!
