Summer Bay Resorts

Has anyone any information or knowledge of Summer Bay Resorts?
I received an email offering me some cheap accomodation in Spain.
When I telephoned the 0800 number I was offered 5 nights in Florida and 3 nights in the Bahamas 2 nights in Spain.
The offer started at £250 per person and ended with £250 for a family of 4.
They pressured me to make the decision there and then.
I refused with the intention of doing some research before committing myself.
They admitted that I would have to spend an afternoon with them as they inform me on timeshare etc.
Has anyone any previous knowledge or experience.
Am I going to get ripped off?
I will pass the number to anyone else should they wish to try this out

Hi
I used to work for a timeshare company called RCI and Summer Bay was one of the resorts affiliated to them. I have heard of Summer Bay in Florida and also one in Las Vegas but the one in Spain must be new. Although the resorts are very nice, I have stayed at the one on Florida, they cost is several thousand pounds to buy for 1 week a year and if you ever decide to sell it you will be very lucky to get a few hundred pounds back for it!!!!!! If you can get a cheap holiday with them then go for it but do not be persuaded into buying a week of timeshare, they will make it sound very attractive and a good investment. They will also tell you about RCI or another exchange company which you can trade your week to go other place but it is not as easy as they make it out to be. Believe me I worked with timeshare exchange for over 17yrs!!!!!0 -

The reason I have put it as a grabbit is because I am willing to share the number should anyone be interested and they could enjoy the potential benefits.
If it is genuine then I would assume an offer like this would be limited to time or to numbers of people hence 'grabbit'. Furthermore, if people are offered the same and have to make an instant decision, hopefully it will be an informed one.
I trust I didn't break the rules, but you are right, I should have made the rationale clear for placing it here.
IZWIZZ,
Thank you so much for the information. Could you possibly pm me with the things that I should be careful with or take advantage of? Or maybe even post the details here so others may benefit.0 -
But this is not a grabbit please respect the rules on posting
Sticky: Posting On The Grab It Board
This board is for short-term, grab it deals only. Anything else, including general supermarket offers (bogof, half price or 3for2 etc) should be placed on the Shop But Dont Drop board.0 -

Vey Very dodgy.
Lots of spelling and grammer mistakes in advert and T&C.
Surely a professional company would have taken their time in the web presentation to ensure that the whole advert was correct.
You have to scroll through the T&C to read it which is very odd
Will avoid0
