Sainsburys Entertainment - £5 off £15 order!

I used this offer to order Simspons series 6 on DVD last Friday. I checked the status of the order on the sainsburys website yesterday and the order has been cancelled !!! I received an email to confirm the order had been placed last Friday but since then have received nothing to say the order has been cancelled. I have fired an email to them asking for an explanation but have not heard anything yet.

Has anyone else who has used his offer had their order cancelled? Where do I stand as far as my consumer rights are concerned. Is the email I recieved to confirm the order effectively a receipt which they have to honour?

yes they did the same to me ,they emailed me on monday ,saying they were getting no more copies of simpsons season six and were sorry ,this was after saying my order was confirmed last friday ,then i emailed them saying why do u still have it to buy on your site they said we don't.It is on but now £5 more.

If you weren't fussed about the Homer Head pack...Tesco have the Simpsons Series 6 Digipack for £27.89 and there is a code for £5 off somewhere......

I ordered this and it was here really quickly. It was the cheapest I could find at time of ordering a few days ago.


Edit: Incidentally, just as a bit of extra info for those who have not actually seen the Homer Head pack other than in a picture....it's pretty poor quality imo. When I fist saw the pack online...I thought it was a metal tin like a lot of our other limited edition sets. I saw it instore though and it's made from really flimsy plastic. The disks just sit inside in a cardboard type sleeve. Not what I thought it was at all. I think it would tear easily.

Might be worth checking one out in the flesh as it were, if you were intending getting this?
