how to use free cycle

I disregard all 'text speak' emails too although this is mainly because I can't make head nor tail of them! Our local freecycle does seem to be a training ground for the 'fastest finger' question on who wants to be a millionaire so I deliberately make sure I leave at least a day before posting an item and choosing a recipient.
The other thing that really hacks me off is when I leave items outside for someone to collect and they don't bother sending a quick email to let me know they've got it ok and to say thanks - maybe this is just one me though. It's better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.0 -
I HATE text speak too! Thank God it's not just me. I just think it's impolite and plain lazy.
Though to be fair to people who say they will 'take the lot'- it could be they are assuming that's what most people would prefer? A lot of 'offerers' always seem to put 'must go in one lot'- as it's much easier and convenient to arrange a collection with one person than with several.0 -
ive registered, and find it really frustrating. if the person that kindly wants to give away stuff cant be bothered to post a taken then others will get frustrated. i have stuff to give and things i might like. example, someone wanted a specific type of saw, gift or loan i have one to loan and im 10 miles from him, sent message no reply how rude. as for giving, and ive done this on here as well , if its here i say only with ** posts to stop the new members just asking for stuff, on free cycle i would put i will give to the 7th message. its a good site but unless used correctly will fail.(IMO)Div 1 Play Off Winners 2007
