How many Cubic Feet?

Well I've registered and I'm now raring to go OS!!!:j
I've always believed that I was extremely careful with my monthly grocery shopping - but you guys put me to shame!!! I've always menu planned, shopped fortnightly (online for the last 9yrs) rather than weekly etc but since DD was born in 05 I've upped my monthly budget to £300 and still find myself buying 'bits n bobs' during the week on the old plastic friend
There is myself, OH, DD and our cat... we moved recently and I now have the space to accommodate a larger freezer - I currently have a f/f with 4 drawers. These are filled after shopping and almost empty by the time I get the next lot.. I have a BM and religiously use this for DH's rolls for his packed lunch. I can cook and now that I have a lovely kitchen feel empowered so think this is the time to embrace OS living and become the domestic goddess I've always wanted to be!!!
My question to the OS experts is in buying a freezer what would you recommend I go for in relation to upright/chest and how many cubic feet for a family of 4 + 1 cat (I'm planning another bub - hubby just doesn't realise this yet:rotfl: ).
Big hugs and thanQs to all for showing me the way!

Hi Knonie,
Welcome to Old Style :hello:
I have both an upright and chest freezer and definitely prefer the chest freezer as the drawers seem to ice up frequently and can be difficult to open in the upright, but that's possibly more to do with the fact that it's quite old than upright freezers in general.
These threads may help you to make up your mind:
Is it worth buying a chest freezer?
Would a bigger freezer save me money?
Second freezer
What size of fridge/freezer do you all have?
