Excellent ideas people!

Just a word of caution though Horace, people tend to ask for names for their new businesses online and people give good ideas and perhaps one gets used. Years down the line, when you become a successful business using one the suggested names, that person could then decide to appeal for a cut of earnings as they can prove they thought the name up (this thread is evidence) and without their input of giving you that name, you might not have been as successful. If you'd have thought of the name yourself anyway without their help it wouldn't matter as much but if they can show they offered the idea to you, then that goes in their favour.

A bit far fetched but I have heard of it happening. Maybe use these ideas as a guide though.

Also, will it be ONLY weddings you organise? Just thinking if you wanted to branch out into other 'events' then having wedding planner in your company name might rule you out when people are looking for other event planners. There's a lady who works as a wedding planner in an office downstairs from me and she says she wished she'd have called herself '(name) weddings and events' or similar, instead of just a wedding related name, as she rarely gets business for other events now and would like to do more less-weddingy projects.

Honeypop I have taken what you have said onboard - at least I have some ideas of names but will no doubt think of one of my own.

I shall also do event organisation because that is my background.

no advice on the name, but if you want a cheesey tag line to go with it how about 'I do' so you dint have to ok, ok, dont all groan at once :rotfl:

I had thought of Meredith Towers Bespoke Weddings but I hate the way it looks on a business card and when I have a yellow pages listing, it will be at at the bottom of the page and people tend only to look at the top.
