Brokers are reaping what they sowed with all the dodgy business they put through previously (to get their commmission). If I was a bank, I wouldn't trust them either.

I would rather you didnt tar us all with the same brush.

I can hand on heart say ive never done ANY "dodgy" business thank you.

Care to share with me what your occupation is so that I can pick fault at your industry?

While not ixwood, all I can say is that many of us are fighting for livelihood at the moment. I work for a traditional, full service airline (no, not BA!) and we are in a fight for survival against fuel prices, and low cost carriers.

But I've no ill will to oil companies, producers or low fare airlines. It isn't personal, its business. If we don't provide a product and service that people value, and will pay more for than costs to produce, we'll go the way of transatlantic passenger liners, or British Leyland. Maybe I'm just weird, but I've always enjoyed the downturns at work more. It's more of a challenge when you've got to be street fighting for survival.

I've dealt with a lot of broker cases in a previous role and I can say that they are definitely not all dodgy. I can hand on heart say that out of all the brokers I worked with that there was only one who consistently avoided giving me the full facts in the hope that things wouldn't show up on the credit report. He then used to have a go at me when we needed more information/documents or if the case was declined....perhaps if you or your client had decided to mention those 3 CCJS at the outset you wouldn't have had your time wasted!!

Anyway, the point is that I've worked with a lot of perfect legitimate brokers who have worked very hard for their clients.

Also how can you judge the worth or worthiness of a client purely by whether they go through a broker or direct. I've just declined a client that came direct to us when he started initially through a broker because the broker sussed he was dodgy and didn't want to work with him anymore. He needn't have bothered going direct because we worked him out for the dodgy fraudulent **** that he was pretty quickly anyway!
