Good Afternoon,

can anyone recommend a nice restaurant that would be suitable for a wedding anniversary in South Down (based in Newry) or Belfast?

Nothing too fancy or formal (it's not a round anniversary). All kind of food welcome, except Indian (sorry, wife dislikes Indian Food more then anything else).

Any recommendations welcome.

Thanks in advance,
dsab

In Belfast, Deanes at Queen's or Deanes Deli might be nice? Personally I love cayenne and it's where we go for anniversaries but we're both veggie which makes it a lot more affordable.

Hope you have a nice time.

  • What about Armagh? There's a nice Aussie restaurant there called Uluru that was very nice when we were there last year. We were the first customers of the evening so it was nice & relaxed, not sure if it gets "posh" later. The staff & the food were great. Here's a link - didn't have time to get the proper one but if you googl it you'll find reviews. Enjoy

Darcy's in bradbury place is lovely. It was my parents silver in Feb and we sent them there! It's not too expensive. Even on valentines day it was about £50 for 2 3 course meals and drinks.
It french bistro meets sunday roast. It's a small place but lots of atmosphere.
They don't have a website tho.
Really good pate and steak and good fish too!
