Instant Mash

Hi everyone!
I'm a bit of a lurker in here but I'm challenging myself to save money and reduce my food waste at the moment and I'm pleased to say it's going really well! But I have something I'm stuck on which I was wondering if someone can help with.
I have some instant mash (smash) in my cupboard and, to be honest, I'm not mega keen on mashed potato so I probably won't eat it as plain old mash so I need some ideas of something creative I can do with it!
I tried using it in fish cakes but they ended up a bit too sloppy. I saw on here a recipe for potato cakes which sounded promising but I was wondering if anyone else has any suggestions?
Thank you!

I keep a pack in for adding a tbsp at a time to HM bread - dissolving in the water - it gives a nice texture.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Hi Honeysuckle,
There are some ideas for using it up on this older thread:
Instant Mash - thoughts?

How about Shepherds Pie? And to make it interesting, I always grate some cheese over the top of the mash before it goes in the oven.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
