  • Hi,

Why not try multiregionmagic.com, cheapest DVD is a Panasonic at £69, a Pioneer at £79,
great value for a BRANDED DVD player and plays all of my region 1 films GREAT.

Boots have a Alba DVD Player DVD65 @ £19.99 (offer of the week - reduced from £34.99) - which I think is multi region (checked on Amazon) .
  • Albas are very bad: my BF ended up throwing his out of hte window (literally) cos the damn thing kept on stalling even after cleaning it everytime we used it.

if you have a playstation 2 games machine, you can buy a disc from argos etc etc, for £9.99 that allows you to play multi-regional discs.

another thing to try if you can't find a multiregion dvd player at a price you like ... note the make & number of any cheap R2 players you fancy, then check them out HERE before buying to see if they can be 'hacked' to make them multiregional ... I've done quite a few for myself & family & friends with no problems, very simple, just involves tapping in a sequence of numbers on the remote & you're away :)

    clearing up ambuguity
  • does that work on the silver ps2
  • Might be worth having a look at Richer Sounds. Richersounds Plenty of multiregion including all the normal well known brands and a few lesser known ones. Pretty cheap no quibble warranty and aftercare as well.

sorry ladypeanut, didn't make myself clear there :o I meant dvd players

you'd need one of the discs mentioned earlier by Bamaziga to make your ps2 multiregional
