Credit check errors?

Can anyone tell me how to go about trying to fix an error on my credit report?
After moving 3 years ago, NTL arranged to send my final bill to my new address and collect the equipment from there too (After they failed to collect it twice before).
After I moved, they collected the equipment within days but I figured it would take a while longer t generate the final bill. After 6 months I received a letter saying they would take me to court if I didnt pay! I promptly phoned and was told that they were sending the bills to my old address. I reminded them of their error and paid the final bill.
After checking my report yesterday, there are 6 red non payment reports on there.
Would this be my fault as I didnt chase it up or could I clear this in any way??

However, I believe there's some guidance on resolving disputes in Experian's "Your credit report explained" booklet. You can download a copy from here...
