GHD problem, help?

I recently got a set of the pure GHD stylers for my birthday, i have had them since the end of May and i have noticed that the plastic is starting to turn a yellow colour, like it's burnt. I e-mailed GHD and they have asked me to send them to the repair centre so they can have a look. I was just curious if anybody else had experienced this problem? Just a bit concerned they wont replace/repair them..
Thanks

Hi I dont THINK you need worry but cannot guarantee. My daughters GHD's stopped working and we sent them back through the hairdresser we got them off. Although they were about 18 mnths old she got a brand new set.

Take them back to the place you bought them from - your contract is with them.
Are you 100% sure they are originals? There are many knock offs out there and they are very good at making them look real with the holograms etc. I think you can enter your bar code or something on the GHD website that will tell you if they originals. My friend bought some from a salon and they were copies!!! She was furious! It all works out good in the end.If it's not good, it's not the end!0 -
I've registered them on the GHD website so i know they are genuine

I bought them from a salon i can't easily get to and i was told at the salon that they would be sent to GHD if i returned them to the salon anyways. I don't mind sending them straight to GHD, would be easier for me!
Also, my clutz of a bf has lost the receipt but paid on his card so a bank statement will be enough for proof of purchase right?0 -
GHD are very good. A couple of weeks ago I returned two pairs, one pair my daughter got for her 16th birthday and she is 21 in 3 months, and one pair we have had two years. I just asked them to have a look at hem as both had stopped working. The oldest pair they repaired, and the newer pair they replaced free. Both pairs had been back before, the oldest one twice. They always seem happy to repair or replace.0
