Its done free on the NHS

And as the news keeps telling us Norn Iron has now the smallest waiting lists in the UK, Go to your GP and get a hospital referral to the ENT department. I dont see the point on paying extra for something you have paid for anyway.

If that was the case then we'd all be getting nosejobs done free.

Rhinoplasty is only done free on the NHS if its also accompanied by a medical need ..ie A broken nose that looks unsightly but also causes breathing problems etc.Yes you will get the operation to unblock the nose Even then they won't necessarily make the nose look better cosmetically if they can fix the breathing problem without doing so. (this happened with ex hubby)

Or if you can prove to your GP that the appearance of your nose is causing you stress and anxiety bla bla bla then he might agree to put you on the waiting list. A friend waited 8 years for hers.

my oh had his nose done a year ago - he went to transform medical clinic on the malone road, but had to go to scotland to get the op - i wouldnt really recommend the travelling - he said it was horrific on the flight home, the flight was too soon after the op (the next morning - he was still quite heavily sedated & nauseous, not to mention looking terrible!! :( ) and i was worried sick about him the whole time!! i would think it would be worth the few quid extra to go to fitzwilliam clinic!! :D

I missunderstood the OP or it was not properly stated that this was cosmetic surgery required:rolleyes:

A friend of mine had this done through their company private health insurance a few years back, she just kept on at them that her nose was unsightly and affecting her confidence in life etc....

Had the OP done in Ballykelly private hospital and was out next day;)
