We need to get one of these.

Considering the JL one as it's on sale at the moment. Had a look at it and it's ok. Nothing special but at least if anything goes wrong with it, JL will respoid.
If anyone has any recommendations/experience, I'd be glad to hear them!
(BTW, have thought about an inflatable AERO or similar but it needs to be a constant fixture...)

We have something similar that we got from Argos years ago. Although the single footprint is compact, together they are quite wide. Also, they are two mattresses, and only one headboard, so if a double is wanted then we prefer turning both mattresses at right angles , and making up with individual base sheets. Most duvet covers would be too small to cover both mattresses. On the whole, I prefer the metal action sofabed that we had first. Futons (ala Ikea) are hard to sleep on!!!0

Thanks for that. I don't mind the wideness as the room can take it on the rare instances it will be in use. As for fitting sheets, I imagine I'll be able to sort something out - a kingsize will always do it.
I do wonder about ridges in the middle and like.
Thanks again.0
