SIPP Rules - partial property investment

I'm about to embark on purchasing a proportion of my father-in-laws house to allow him to free some equity on his house. Afterwards I will own a % of the property value. I have 2 questions. Does a SIPP allow a part equity be contributed as part of a SIPP? and if so can the money be paid out prior to April 2006?
Hope someone can help.

Its early days on these things and most of the technical side of things will not be in place until January.
In theory, you could place a part share in the SIPP. However, in reality, I don't see a SIPP provider/trustee allowing you to do it due to the amount of hassle it would require.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
