When something is advertised on google at a different price to the website...

I was wondering if anyone here has ever been able to get a company to honour an advertised price on google when their own website shows a higher price than the one advertised? I've just made a polite enquiry to a company to find out if they'll honour the advertised price (they have a link on google "shopping results" showing a tent at £49.99, but if you click the link the tent's actually being sold at £72.99 on their website) - I don't know what kind of response I'll get. Hopefully not an angry one!

I figured it would be worth finding out, since according to the Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform pricing practices guidance (section 2.1.2):

"You should not therefore show one price in an advertisement, website,
window display, shelf marking or on the item itself, and then charge a
higher price at the point of sale or checkout."

Anyone here ever tried this too?

Is it via Adwords ads (the ads on the right hand side) or the normal 'organic' results?

You can complain to Google if its the ads...

It comes under the google search but in the "shopping results" section at the top (you can see for yourself if you search for something like "tigi conditioner")
