How much do you pay at Esporta?

I would like to join my local gym.
Esporta is very close to me and seems to have great childrens clubs and swimming lessons which would enable me to use it more.
They do not seem to advertise their prices anywhere. I know when I go in I will be hit by a sales person so I'm just wondering what everyone else pays and did you haggle?
Thanks for any advise.
Nikki.

My husband is a member and pays about £45-£50 per month. I have been in as a guest a few times and it is lovely but a bit too expensive for me. I don't know how much the kids lessons are though - I don't think it's included in your membership and that you have to pay extra for these0

Thanks you for the reply.
Anyone know about the kids charges?
Thanks

Don't know about children's charges but we're in SW London and OH pays £63 a month for his membership, and with that he's restricted to certain times (IIRC, he can only use the gym between 9-4, membership where you want early mornings or evenings is more). I'd look into Esporta though, OH isn't unhappy with it as such but the one he goes to has really gone downhill in the last few months, when he joined it was really nice, lots of towels, lots of free fruit/water etc, nice and clean and pleasant staff and now everything's rationed, the staff turnover is massive and it's not nearly as clean as it was. It's worth having a good look round before you sign up, as the contracts are 'watertight' ...0

£63 a month sounds a lot. I expected it to be around 50. Maybe it because your in London
.
Anyone go to the one in Stoke by any chance?

Hi
I pay £52 a month off peak and for your kids it is an extra £15 a month ontop of your membership when they hit 5 yrs old.
They also up your membership after a couple of months without telling you and when you ring to find out why you are told it is due to inflation so be warned.
You also have to give 3 months notice in writing to cancel.0 -
£42 a month in Croydon, as of December 2010. Very expensive given the rude sales staff and arrogant attitude of the club towards getting money and tieing you down to contracts where they make it as difficult as possible for you to get out of.0

A friend of mine goes to the Coventry Esporta and I think she pays £66 a month for full membership (not off peak I mean!). It's definitely over £60 anyway. It's a lovely gym but there's no way I could justify spending that much!0

Girlpower I think it's about £55 in Stoke for full membership. I'm not sure how the children's stuff works.
Have you looked at Total Fitness on the A34 by the hospital? They are very childfriendly and I'm sure it's only about £40 for peak membership.
I'm at DW in Tunstall and it's great there but not child friendly (as in they are only allowed in at limited times and I think you have to pay about £6 each time they come in). Good for me but not for you! However, Esporta are quite desperate for new members as so many moved to DW since it opened 12 months ago. You maybe able to squeeze a good deal out of them especially if you go in before Xmas.0 -
Whoops just realised this is over 2 years old.0

Ooh, I didn't notice that either! I didn't think to check the starting date of the thread, I wonder why it was brought back up?!0
