Microsoft Office Professional for NHS staff

Under the NHS agreement with Microsoft, individual NHS organisations can negotiate to supply Microsoft Office Professional to staff for home use for 17.50. But your IT department or someone needs to set it up. Check out in your own organisation. Also check whether your organisation has a leasing programme for IT equipment. They can negotiate with a supplier for staff to lease computers etc over a three year period, paying via a salary deduction and with no interest payments. After three years you own the equipment. Worth doing if you are on a low income (most NHS staff) and have kids needing a computer to do school homework and projects.
