I have sky plus in my house & on 4 TVs as I have magic eyes. I pay about £40 for my sky package.
I have now been given another sky receiver with viewing card. Can I plug this in & use to get the free to view channels i.e so hubbie could be watching sports in one room & I was watching a free channel in another?
I have seen 'splitters' on e bay but not sure if this is what they are for or if the additional receiver isn't much use for me.
Any help would be appreciated!

Yes, you need a combiner - it works with a Sky+ and a normal sky box. Details are here ==> http://www.tvlink.co.uk/combiner.htm This site has lots of help and diagrams.
One thing I found was that it used the power that came out on the RF2 ports and I had to 're-power' my distribution amp and red eyes with another power adaptor.0 -
Sorry to hijack the thread, but it's related

Was wondering if anyone knew if you could hook up a sky+ box and have it work without subscription?:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Please don't be offended if that opinion differs from yours, but feel free to click the 'Thanks' button if it's at all helpful!0 -
magic eye plugs into the each TV which means the sky channels can be viewed & changed on any TV in the house.
Not sure if you can do this in any house or whether this is something in the wiring of the house.0
