New Job But I Hate It!
Comments

I am 25 and have spent all of my working life at a desk doing a job. I have finally decided that I hate office work and I cannot stand the idea of working in an office environment any longer!
I've decided to try and join the RAF. Something totally different, but I'm sure I will be more suited to it..
I hope you can find something that you enjoy.. x
Hope it all works out for you too0 -
Good luck with finding something better, Beancounter.0

It's been a busy day! I registered with a couple of agencies with a view to getting a temp position as a driver etc.
Also got a call today asking me along to an interview for a position in the financial industry and got some positive vibes on another couple of things too so fingers crossed!!!!
One question hopefully someone can answer......
When submitting CVs or application forms for jobs, bearing in mind my last (or perhaps that should be lost:p ) 2 weeks, do I "fess up" to this or only offer the info if asked what I have done since June 23rd?0 -
Beancounter - I just put down that it was a temporary contract.0

10 years ago i started my current job and i hated it - as i had just left a uni course i hated before the end- i decided to stick it out for at least 6 months, in this time i learned more and felt better about my possition in the team. i joined at a difficult time with staff shortages and the job seem awfull with customers shouting at me but once i got to know the job and had better knowledge to deal with disgruntled customers i grew to like what i was doing. i am now safe in the knowledge i stuck it out, and my company loyaltee for 10 years will go in my favour if i decide to do somthing different.
give it a good go - if it dont work out not to worry - but it will look better on your cv if you have given it a good try and still found it was not your cup of tea!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0 -
I do sympathise. I've been in similar situations too but I also agree with sillyvixen. I spent years job-hopping because I would last about a month in some of them. I've been with my current company 12 years now, not necessarily in the same job. I work for a large company and saw prospects almost immediately but stuck with my first job there for a year and got promoted and have now gained a lot. I didn't particularly enjoy it at first but stuck with it, mainly because I didn't want to keep "job-hopping" and wanted to give it a chance.
Do try and stick with it if you can. It does take a few months to settle - took me nearly a year and I'm so glad I did stay.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
