Requirements for christening

We're hoping to have the boys christened sept/oct time if possible.
Myself and DH were christened in the same church and we want the same church for the boys.

What are the requirements for a christening?
Do the god parents have to have been christened?
We're not big church goers but are very much into the spiritual side of things, will that be a problem?
Is there a fee to pay or a donation?
Can the boys be christened in the same service?

I can't think of anything else at the moment but any help/advice is much appreciated.
If everyone cared and nobody cried, if everyone loved and nobody lied, if everyone shared and swallowed their pride then we'd see the day when nobody died.
ROCK IT DON'T STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BE GOOD OR BE GOOD AT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi my son is getting Christened next month and two of the godparents we chose had not been Christened themselves, the vicar did say he would prefer if they were, so yesterday they got baptised together. I think this is up to the individual vicar although I would say most prefer the godparents to be baptised.

We do not regulary go to church and this is not a problem and as for payment there is no charge at ours but we will be making a donation.

Both your boys can be done together and it is a lovely ceremony, lasting for about 20 mins. Being done together will be really special for you all.

When DD was christened the church said all God parents needed to be christened.

The church I attend now does 'believer baptism' we dedicate our children to God and the church and when they're old enough to make the choice they can get baptised.
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
