Its been some time and just as I thought I was getting somewhere I'm getting shafted again by the CSA.
Basically I wrote to the CSA 3 times stating the mistakes on my case and asking them to correct it, after nothing happening (as per the last 5 years) I got some advice to contact my local MP and ask him to use his powers to get a review.
This all happened and over the past few weeks I've been getting regular updates as to what is happening.......However, today I got a call from them telling me they had now corrected all of the mistakes and are sending me out written confirmation today but they also told me that after reviewing the case that I now owe £5500 in arrears because they had not included my daughter in the claim despite being told by phone and in writing by myself and my ex partner numerous times over the last couple of years.
They have demanded that I either pay the full amount staright away or £110 per week for 2 years neither of which I am in any position to pay.
What I need to know is how can they make me pay for a mistake they made and which they were told about numerous times. Also what can they do to recover this money as to pay what they require is totally beyond my means. Also do they have to take in to consideration my current partner and my children with her.
    Please Help!!

What did your data protection file show about the information you gave them regarding your daughter?

Despite numerous calls nothing was recorded until August last year where they have a record of me asking why they had not yet corrected it.

As I have learnt over the last few months write and e-mail only!!

OK, spoken to my solicitor today and he's confirmed that no matter who is to blame for the mistakes I still have to pay the arrears. He also said that there is very little you can take them to court for at all.
The CSA are saying I must clear these arrears within 2 years, now is this a guideline or is it mandatory? Am I able to negotiate a longer payment period?
Also how much money can they take from me bearing in mind I am currently supporting my partner and our 2 children with another child due next month?
And finally my ex partner is willing to opt out of the CSA and for us to come up with our own agreement. If I did this would the CSA take this into account for the arrears or would they take the most they can on top of this?

Please help I need to give my repayment proposal by Monday
    Thanks
