purchase protection wth debit card?

I have read that you can get purchase protection for 30 days with credit cards, i.e. if it develops a fault or if you lose or have an accident with the product.
Does the same apply if you buy something with a debit card with the VISA logo?

It depends on what the bank issuer has in its terms and conditions.
Most offer nothing these days on a debit card but Section 75 of the Consumer credit act covers anything over £100 on a credit card.0
