Help - does anyone know if such a thing exists?
My 3 year old lost the tip of her little finger yesterday (very loving big sister slammed the bedroom door), and we are heading of on holiday this Thursday, to a beach! is there anything that may help keep out the sand and possibly water, that doesn't cover the whole hand.
Would need to be small!

I can't say tjhat I've ever seen anything to cover a finger. However if plasters are no good (they come off in water) have you thought about trying that liquid plaster stuff? You paint it on like nail varnish and it dries to form a coating.July Win: Nokia 58000

Thank you all for your replies - I should have said that she has had it dressed with quite a sizeable bandage (for her little hand anyway) so really looking for something that would go over the dressing to keep it from getting wet.
Unbelievably hardy girl though - has had no pain killers since just after it happened and she had carried on today as if nothing has happend - except to tell people that her sister chopped it off!DD1 - May 02 8lbs 6oz

Would a finger stall be any good? It's obviously designed for an adult but if the dressing is quite large it should fit size wise...0

just thought that I would let you know what my solution is.
Have been to this website www.limboproducts.co.uk and ordered a Limbo, which should solve the problem of bathing and also swimming if we want, and my plan for the beach is to get disposable latex gloves and chop a finger off that tape it round the base, so at least she can use her hands in the sand.
Will see how that goes. The above company have been very helpful and their service is very efficient and helpful to anyone with plaster casts or large dressings.
Thank you all again for your suggestions.DD1 - May 02 8lbs 6oz
