    Hi Happy Shopper ....

Do you ... (or anyone please) ... have first hand experience of one of these cinema offers ... ? ... I have bought a copy of the Times ... but I have also managed to get an extra set of tickets for my brother/niece (at a different cinema) ... and i would hate them to turn up with just their email and be turned away ... :o

If anyone could let me know I would be most grateful ...

    LB ... :^)

Hi LittleBill, sorry for the delay in replying, I've only just seen your post. I must have been to 4 or 5 of the Times screenings and I've never bought the newspaper. :D Each time, I've just taken the email printout and I've been let in no problem (although it might be worth telling your relatives to by-pass the box office queue if possible; it's better to go to the relevant screen and show the print-out to the usher there. Sometimes the box office staff are puzzled and call over a supervisor which can be nerve-wracking if you're not used to freebie screenings. ;) ) The confirmation email should say something about presenting the email on arrival (it won't mention the booking form). If there's any problems (I doubt there will be), they should just point to the relelvant paragraph and look innocent. ;) Also, I had an email from the Times yesterday, which said: 'To claim up to four tickets, choose a cinema from the list below, then visit the website www.screenbookings.com and enter the booking code 7276 when prompted. You will be given a confirmation number. Print out the confirmation and present it at the cinema at 10am on either July 12 or 13. ' (My emphasis added.) No mention of the form. Honestly, I think they'll be fine with the email printout (but tell them to get there in good time - i.e. closer to 10am than 10.30am - it would be a shame if they were turned away due to lack of space).

    Enjoy! :)

    Hi Happy Shopper ...

Thanks for the informative answer ... I did buy a paper and have posted them the relevant page along with my email response for their booking ... to ensure they have no problems ... they are indeed freebie virgins ... :rotfl: ...

I will 'make do' with the email ... as you say ... normally all is well ... I however had only been to SFF and Telegraph previews before and they are normally at Cineworld in our area ... This was a new one to me ...

We are so looking forward to it ... it seems to have been advertised for ages in cinemas ... Pass the value popcorn ... ;)

    Thanks again Happy Shopper ...
