My Sunday Times (Culture section) says that next week to mark the Rolling Stones forthcoming UK tour. The Sunday Times is giving away the 1968 Jean-Luc Godard film Sympathy for the Devil.

It is inside every paper on Sunday and not one that you need to send off for or redeem from a shop.

Can't see anything about this on the Times on-line site yet.

Not quite a free CD or DVD, but.....

    Free audio books
From Saturday, August 5 until Thursday, August 10, you can download a free classic book when you buy The Times. The titles include Around the World in 80 Days, Robinson Crusoe and Gulliver's Travels. See The Times this Saturday for full details.

I have got a stack of them from The Times, mostly films for children and adults. Do you think a parcel of the children's ones would be suitable as a prize on our tombola stall at the garden show?

Aren't all those titles freely downloadable anyway? Check out Project Gutenberg for another 18,000 titles :)
    Can I help?

But aren't these just "books" - ie. text, words that you READ like a BOOK ?

The ones esalan is referring to are AUDIO books - you just have to listen !

Don't think Project Gutenberg has any of these.
