Very disappointing there have been no free CD or DVD offers for the Royal Jubilee or the Olympics.

I actually thought there might have been a few after NOTW folded, as other Sunday newspapers attempted to lure their readers but it never happened.

So I think the days of newspaper freebies have come to an end with emphasis now on movie/audio downloads which are not just quite the same thing.

Probably not what we ideally wanted but something at last.

"This week and next the Guardian is giving away audiobook CDs of classic fairytales, from The Little Mermaid and Cinderella to Aladdin and Pinocchio, all read by Tamsin Grier or Stephen Mangan."

A series of 6 CDs, apparently all in the newspapers.
