I used to work opposite limoncello in Cambridge. I didn't realise it was still there. As I now work in Cambridge some days I shall now fell compelled to go there. You really are bad news Competionscafe. This is supposed to be about saving money isn't it lol;)

Both these shops are about a ten minute walk from where I live....what a small world we live in!!

I can`t find another parmesan thread but want to share what I have just done.
Just out of date parmesan in a wedge. Grated in my chef processor, boxed and in the freezer. Always handy but even better when not wasted
I used to also grate cheddar and freeze. It was such a brilliant time-saver when I was working0 -
You can also use the rind of parmesan to flavour things like risotto or soup.Just chuck it away when its done its job.0

I freeze Parmesan in a wedge, ungrated, too. It freezes just fine and I just chop a piece of the frozen lump and grate it from frozen. (I'm terminally lazy
).

I do this too! i don't even cut any off of the wedge - just grate it and put it back in the freezer.0 -
I use the Parmesan rind in soups and things as well like thriftlady - we must be related! - but I fish it out, wash it in cold water, dry it and put it back in the fridge.
